Below is David's Obituary. He was such a sweetheart, a great friend and he is truly missed.

William David Thorton Jr., 39, of Sterling, a lifelong resident of Loudoun County, died Aug. 23, 2003 from injuries suffered in an automobile accident near Charles Town, W.Va. Visitation is Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Loudoun Funeral Chapel in Leesburg, where services will be Thursday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Etone Wayne Bowles officiating. Mr. Thorton will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. He was born June 15, 1964 in Leesburg to William D. Thorton Sr. and Doris Roberta Thorton, or Sterling. Mr. Thorton graduated from Broad Run High School in 1983 and worked as a mechanic for Don's Exxon in Ashburn for a number of years until it closed. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was known for his craftsmanship in carpentry. At the time of his death he was employed by the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority. Survivors also include his sister, Pamela Wvette Thorton of Leesburg; three brothers, Larry Donnell Thorton of Martinsburg, W.VA., Darryl Edward Thorton of Centreville, and Charles Michael Thorton of Sterling; six aunts; 10 uncles; 11 nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, 1211 Connecticut Ave., NW, Suite 501, Washington, DC 20036.
